How NGOs can apply for European Commission Grants? A PowerPoint Presentation

The European Commission is one of the largest donors providing funding to developmental projects around the world. However, it is also one of the most complicated grantmakers especially because of its lengthy grant guidelines, intricate rules of funding and too many grantee terms of conditions.

But recently, the Commission itself came forward to simplify its procedures by organizing a lunch-time conference under its External Cooperation Infopoint to provide information to participants on “How can an NGO apply for European Commission grants?”

The “External Cooperation” Info Point acts as the interface between citizens and the various services of the Commission dealing with external relations. The conferences organized under it are aimed at engaging partners in development and stimulate debate and different points of view.

The “How can an NGO apply for European Commission grants?” held on 23 September 2010 provided necessary information as to how the European Commission grants system works? How local authorities and NGOs may undertake an application to answer a EuropeAid grant? What is the correct way to apply? How are managed the procedures from the very first steps?

From the theme of the conference, it could be understood that it was aimed primarily for small and medium-sized [url=http://www.fundsforngos.org/tag/organizations]organizations

The presentation covers all the basic information as to how NGOs can get alerts about new EuropeAid funding opportunities, where can they access information about various grants, the procedures they need to follow and online resources they need to consult.
